Wei Zhang, Ph.D., Professor, at Shandong University, the member of the “National outstanding youth Scholarship of NSFC”, and “Qilu Youth Scholarship of SDU”. He received his B.En. in bioengineering from Liaocheng University of China (2005). From 2005-2012, he was studied with Professor Yaojian Huang and Professor Yuemao Shen in Xiamen University for his MS and PhD studies, respectively. During 2010-2012, he spent two years as a joint Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Professor Liangcheng Du at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA by the supports from “The State Scholarship Study Abroad Program for Graduate Studies at the China National University of Construction by China Scholarship Council”. In 2012, he began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2014, he was appointed as Associate Professor at QIBEBT. From 2016-2017, he joined the laboratory of Professor F. P. Guengerich at Vanderbilt University, TN, USA as a postdoctoral Research Associate. In 2018, he was recruited as full Professor of Shandong University.
