Dr. Pradeepraj Durairaj (Deep) earned his Bachelor's (2006) and Master's (2008) degree from Bharathidasan University, India. He pursued his Doctoral studies in Biochemistry at Yeungnam University, South Korea (2010-2015) through the prestigious 'Korean Government Scholarship Program' granted by NIIED. He initially carried out his Postdoctoral research work at Korean Lichen Research Institute, Sunchon National University, S.Korea (2015-2016), and then joined Prof. Matthias Bureik's research group at School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tianjin University, China (2017-2019). Currently, he is associated with Prof. Shengying Li at Microbial Technology Institute of Shandong University, China. His major research interests includes Cytochrome P450 (bacterial, fungal, yeast and human) enzymes, biocatalysis, functional expression and biochemical characterization in yeast (bakers and fission) system. He was awarded as the outstanding "Foreign Young Talent" by the 'State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs', Tianjin, China. In addition, he has successfully obtained several fellowships, grants, and awards in his academic and research career.
