Yuexing Chen graduated from Shandong University in 2012. Then he joined Prof. Zhigang Xu's lab as a research assistant for 4 years in mouse auditory conduction mechanism. In 2017, he joined BGI as a biotechnology researcher in NGS. Two years later, he left and joined Haier Biomedical in 2019. He joined Li's Lab since 2020 and his research interest is in the biosynthesis of flavor and fragraces.
